Both lawyers and associates at a law firm are required to follow the statutes and rules of the Swedish Bar Association. The Bar Association’s Code of Professional Conduct outlines a lawyer’s obligations toward their clients, how the firm should operate, its fees, and the management of client funds and documents. A cornerstone of these rules is loyalty; we are bound to always act solely in the best interests of our clients.

Lawyers are bound by statutory confidentiality. A lawyer may not disclose any information shared in confidence, except in very specific, legally regulated situations. This duty of confidentiality applies to all employees at the law firm.

The Swedish Bar Association has a Consumer Disputes Board that consumers can contact in the event of a dispute with a lawyer or law firm. In this context, a consumer is defined as a private individual acting outside of business or professional activities. Before the board will consider a case, the individual must first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the law firm. More information is available at

In order to stay up-to-date and identify legal developments that may benefit our clients, we continuously engage in professional development through courses, seminars, and conferences, both in Sweden and internationally. According to the Bar Association’s regulations, every lawyer is also required to complete at least 18 hours of structured training annually.
